For the ICA Oscar Murillo has created a series of 18 unique works entitled a fulfillment of 18 profound desires!. Depicting the image of a Coconut Water carton, each distinct version, created by the artist during the printing process, incorporates smudges, track-marks and scratches into the works. Food features throughout Murillo's work, coconut water recurs both as an images referenced in his paintings, and as a component distributed during his performances - a way of folding the individual into the group. The work is in constant progession, consolidated through sociable activity and the detritus amassed in its path. Provisional and deliberate actions co-exist in Murillo's paintings and performances - dirt, creaes and tracks mark the movement.
